One teeny tiny request!
Ice is Missing one important jutsu! I was watching the First Naruto Movie again and I noticed Fubuki uses it
I copied and made adjustments from the Water Prison technique to fit how it was used in the movie. I know you only see it for a moment but it looks rather easy to dodge since it's limited to the ground, but is shown extending up towards sasuke when he's trying to escape so this allows for a dexterity roll. Also being trapped in ice would allow for Zero movement, but I think a strength check instead of a wisdom check suits the fact that you're breaking free.
Hyouro no jutsu: Ice Prison Technique
Jutsu Type: Ninjutsu
Rank: C
Chakra Cost: 5 per round maintained
RP Description: Utilizes Ice to imprison an opponent. Note: Requires environmental Ice to work or the Hyoutan Bloodline.
*The ninja forms the necessary hand seals which causes the ice to erupt in a line towards the target which engulfs the target in an frozen pillar like prison that allows zero movement.
*The Ninja does not have to keep their body touching the ice in which the jutsu was formed to maintain it's existence and is free to perform other actions. NOTE: Maintaining the Prison still costs the original 5 Per round each round over time.
PVP Effect: (Dexterity v Wisdom to Dodge) (Strength v Original Wisdom Roll to break free)
No Damage.
*User can hold the target in the prison for 1d6 Rounds, until they run out of chakra, or until the opponent beats an Opposed Strength Check made each round versus the Original wisdom roll they were trapped with.
*The target is also allowed a Dexterity Check to dodge the line of ice trying to entrap them in the prison technique.

Well that's what it's meant for! Perhaps to try to hold someone at bay, especially if you're fighting in a squad where you have allies to aid you.
Thankies for the feedback! I need more! ^_^

Re: One teeny tiny request!
More details on it pls.
What happens when they're trapped. Are they stunned? Can people attack them? etc, etc.
(part of my job to comb through technical stuff like this)

Re: One teeny tiny request!
I wouldn't say they are stunned, but being frozen in a block of ice tends to incapacitate them, I added the Strength Check so they could break free of the ice with brute force, I'm sure if someone attacked them physically it would break or chip off parts of the ice, but since it seems to so quickly engulf the target, it might grow back over or take a while to break away.DM Anko wrote:More details on it pls.

The only way I see someone attacking the target in the Ice Prison Jutsu is by another Ninjutsu, perhaps a combination attack.
Well when the ice makes contact with the subject in the movie, it seemingly holds that part of body in place, and quickly encases them in a clear Icicle like pillar. (Give or take 1 to 2 seconds, it's fast.)
Here let me take some screenshots...
Okay so to start off in short explaination, Fubuki touches the ice, it erupts in a line towards Sasuke
It turns to follow Sasuke, Note: Fubuki is still touching the ice.
Sasuke jumps high to try to avoid it, the ice following him darts upward, snatching his ankle.
In one to two seconds it engulfs him in ice, as seen here.

Well sadly, it never explained or showed her releasing her hand from the ice, but I do believe, since they were trying to kill Sasuke and the team, that you DON'T have to retain a touch with the ice because it was a 1 on 1 fight, and I doubt Fubuki wanted to just hold him in ice for a couple of minutes, and could follow through with other combos, but it's entirely up to you guys on how it should work.
(And I mean, since I made it so they get 2 saves against it, maybe it would be neat to balance it out without having to remain in contact? )

Re: One teeny tiny request!
Just a question if you used a fire technique or something, should it lower the opponents roll to get out like sasuke simply got through with fire >_< since it's ice, a minus -1 or -2 roll to break free, and it's easier on the weaker characters

Re: One teeny tiny request!
K. New one? Change wording to Solid clone or Solid Bunshin. Regular Bunshin can't do damage. At all.
Second, note that there has to be ice around for this to work. (which means it's really only good in snow land..) unless you can mix ice+wind...like haku's clan.
Other than that it seems to be shapeing up nicely.

Sasuke actually had used a substitution Technique, and shortly after the clone changed into a heating pot with an explosive tag on it. During his fight with Fubuki, his fire was slowly able to Melt the ice but under the circumstances at the time (Since she used the Pillars from the Ice Prison Jutsu as a wall to block his fire) he was unable to melt it due to the sheer cold of the environment. (However he was able to Melt the Ice Release: Frozen Swan technique, since they were small icicle birds.)
I don't see how someone can cast jutsu's while frozen, I see how they could use brute force to escape, but performing hand singles when entrapped in ice seems near impossible. BUT! It's up to the Administration to fit it accordingly (I don't see it as a problem, since unless you have a Haku bloodline you can only use it in frozen areas which leaves it nerfed.)

Re: One teeny tiny request!
Changes made Anko!
I removed the Bunshin reference all together, since the Ninja can freely move after using the Jutsu, I also made note of the Environmental Ice that is required, or the Hyoutan bloodline.

If anyone watched the particular clip of the Ice Prison, based off the speed it moves it looks like it would be very difficult to counter it, especially if the target stood still, they would be a deer in headlights and I don't see how you can block it, perhaps with fire, but the ice isn't a single projectile, it's a growing almost living thing, which upon contact, engulfs the target. Also throughout the fight scenes, Sasuke's fire wasn't enough to fully melt the chakra induced ice and he had to resort to melting the smaller ice jutsus, then targeting the user itself.
I don't particularly agree with Your changes, Defense is too widely opened, It should remain Dexterity to Dodge, and Strength to Break free.
Also it was already agreed on that the user would have freedom of hands to substitute for the dodge save against the Jutsu which Water Prison lacks.
Did you read any of the posts before this or just look at the pictures -_-;
As stated before, you need to give me an example of a jutsu. A Fire jutsu doesn't necessarily burn Ice, it slowly melts it, even if you used a fire breathing technique as the ice encased you, you would be unable to release it due to the inability to move and if you released it as it captured you, the user would most likely have to defend against the jutsu rather than it stopping the ice.Shieo wrote:Well say you were about to use a jutsu, and they casted it to stop the attack, and you released it, for you're wis roll it minus theirs because the addon from the fire
Once again, speculations are open due to the reasoning that the Sasuke captured in the ice was actually a kettle with an Explosive tag on it.

Ramen? Ramen should not be voteing on jutsu, do to the fact he doesn't play.
Anyway, you can't replace the wisdom roll. Substitution is always an option.

PVP: Target is trapped for 1d6+2 rounds, If hit for 4pts of damge or more they are no longer trapped. The trapped victim has 2dr while encased. STR Roll to break vs original WIS roll.
