Physical Description: Korimo is altogether unremarkable, not handsome nor ugly. His hair is a dull black and his skin is as tanned as anyone who spends time on the road. His hair is always sort of messy, like he had recently gotten it wet and let it dry however it pleased. He generally appears emotionless, though he can often be seen smiling when he is with his squad mates. His only really remarkable feature are his eyes, a strange shimmering blue seeming to almost move like water. He has several scars all across his back and shoulders, and his most severe and obvious being the one across his neck.

Personality: Korimo tries his best to be calm and rational, taking his example from the gentle creeks found throughout Water Country. Unfortunately he is a teenager which leads him to unwanted bouts of angst, anger, depression, and other fun emotions. He often becomes depressed as his training doesn't go as smoothly as he would like or he does terribly in combat. Over all he is a kind hearted fellow, though he has learned to put up a hard exterior when in most situations. He doesn't seem to care if he comes to physical harm but grows extremely angry when others harm people he cares about. He can be rash and do things without thinking, but one can really blame the ignorace of youth and the testosterone pumping through his system.

Mannerisms: His difficulty with speaking due to an injury in his childhood Korimo tends to communicate through body language. When he is with people and feels awkward he tends to run his hand through his hair repeatedly, when recollecting about the past or agitated (the former often causing the later) he rubs his throat. He loves to stare up at the sky (especially at night and when it's raining) and crosses his arms in situations where he is annoyed or bored.

History: Korimo was born to a small and gentle woman in one of the many small fishing villages dotting Water country. His birth was such a great strain on his mother that she became sickly and died several years later, wasting away with time. His father, an overbearing and callous man blamed his son for the woman's death. The man Haniki, beat Korimo on a daily basis for any minor mistake and often for errors he would fabricate. Haniki's terrible gambling problem saw them homeless and traveling when the boy was five. After a year his father grew tired of the boy, feeling that he was wasting money feeding him. Korimo despite all of his father's abuse, loved the man, feeling that his father was right in beating him. The boy had known nothing else, he took his punishment, believing he had indeed killed his mother and made all of those mistakes. Finally when the man slit his throat in the night using a serated knife did he come to the realization that he wasn't to blame. He lay in a pool of his blood for an hour, his mind spinning as his blood pumped from his body.
A squad of ninja from the Hidden Mist village happened upon him, and their medical ninja worked hard to keep him alive as they rushed him to the Village hospital. He spent several days and nights in intensive care, struggling on the brink of death, finally he gained the will to recover and he began the slow path to healing. Despite the best efforts of the doctors, the blade of the knife had shredded the boys vocal chords. Hardly anything was left. He grew up in the village, raised by various doctors, but his betrayal by his father left him unwilling to trust. One day an elderly woman came to him as he sat alone by the water side, she sat next to him and spoke. "I had a daughter once." She said. "She would often come to this fountain and sit by the waters, gazing into them as if they spoke to her. Like water at rest she was gentle and calm, but she fell in love with a man. Like a hurricane this man... I have not seen her since." When the boy looked up at her his eyes grew wide to see his own eyes staring back. It was that day he learned of his heritage, son of a long line of ninja. For the next several years his grandmother raised him, teaching him to trust once again. That day Korimo swore revenge on his father, and to never allow such a betrayal to fall upon anyone ever again.
The boy struggled through the academy, often behind others of his class in most subjects. He struggled to learn the basics of Ninjutsu and failed completely with Taijutsu and Genjutsu. But what he did learn he practiced, non stop for days he would practice. Finally he would work his skills into a fine honed blade. But the boy was constantly harassed and picked on by several of the other students. One day as he sat by the river they harassed him, kicking him and calling him gutter trash. The boys ended up tossing him in the river where, bruised and battered as he was, he sank. Down and down. As he lay at the bottom of the water looking up at the sun he came to an understanding, he could feel the water coursing over his skin. He could hear the current against his ears, the taste of the water was astounding. And when he awoke he found himself in the hospital, the nurse telling him he was lucky to be alive.
He graduated a week later, third in his class and second with ninjutsu. The next day as he stood next to the city fountain a man approached him, that man was Handashi Ramamochi, and the rest is in the making.
