Another problem ticking me off

Ok I was RPing and I have had a concern there are to many people that are dice addicts and common sense is better IMO I was in the hospital and a person wanted to scare Chance and naturally she wouldn't flinch from a person jumping out a jar, when she knew that person was around somewhere, and Chance has seen orochimaru and plenty scary things and well this person was but my mods and rolls are godlike in intimidate and honestly I tried talking sense into this person and she said paranoia and well IRL I Have paranoia and thats not really how it works o.O DM or someone tell me if this is right because its bugging me Common sense beats all 90% of the time and dice are well o.o dice?
